San Diego Comic-Con is always full of surprises for fans – and this year, in the famous Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center, fans were gifted a special and unannounced screening deadpool and wolverine,
Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, emma corrinDirector Shawn Levy and President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige He caused a stir at Comic-Con on Thursday when he revealed to the more than 6,500 people in the hall that deadpool and wolverine The panel discussion also included a special screening of the film.
“We’ve been all over the world with this movie,” Jackman told the cheering audience. The Hollywood Reporter“But the icing on the cake is right here, right now!”
The event started out as a typical, as expected Comic-Con panel — where artists and creators shared stories and reminisced about old Comic-Con memories. However, a surprise was revealed midway through the event, which left the audience in splits.
Following the screening, an emotionally overwhelmed Reynolds and Jackman shared messages of love and appreciation for one another, while also thanking Levy and Feige for making this unlikely pairing a reality on the big screen.
However, in an effort to make the surprise even more exciting, he invited some special friends onstage at Comic-Con, including some spoiler-heavy cameos.
These stars included Dafne Keen, Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes and Chris Evans – who are just some of the many unexpected and highly rumoured celebs in the epic action film that is currently making waves in Hollywood. It’s set to have the biggest opening weekend ever for an R-rated film,
One particular moment between Reynolds and Snipes was particularly noteworthy. The two had a falling out when they appeared in a film together. blade TrinityIt appears they have managed to repair their working relationship and friendship over the past 20 years.
The surprise screening came just hours after Reynolds, Jackman, Corwin, Evans and Levy were in Los Angeles with Feige for the Marvel Studios president’s ceremony. Star ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
ET spoke with Feige at the star-studded ceremonyand he reflected on his leadership of the vast region Marvel Cinematic Universe,
“It’s always been a dream for me to be at Marvel, to be at the highest point and then go through some downs and then get back to the highest point again,” said Feige, 51. “It’s a journey! And it’s a journey with all the people who are with me today.”
When asked which of Marvel’s many beloved characters is his favorite, Feige said, “There are so many!”
“I mean, being here with Hugh today, coming back from his first audition… x men 1 His inauguration 25 years ago tonight deadpool and wolverineHis journey has been amazing,” Feige said. “I think Chris Evans, who is here today, and what he’s done with the Cap character is awesome. the first Avenger To EndgameI love them all.”
“And Tony Stark, of course, and Robert [Downey Jr.] “What I did to Jon Favreau is very sad,” he added.[They] helped us create the whole MCU and really get started.”
Long awaited deadpool and wolverine will be released in theaters on Friday, July 27.
