What did the eyewitnesses say?
Beaver County Republican Party Vice Chairman Rico Elmore was sitting across from Trump in the special guest section when he heard what sounded like firecrackers. 'Everybody was shocked and it looked like they were real bullets,' Elmore said. I yelled 'Get down!' Elmore said Secret Service agents then escorted Trump off the stage and heard someone in the crowd calling for a doctor.
Elmore knew first aid and CPR from his time in the military and knew that a doctor would not be able to get help right away. He took off his tie and crossed the barricade to Elmore who saw that he had been shot in the head. He grabbed the victim's head, but it was too late. He was not answering.
