New Delhi. Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari suddenly burst into tears during Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid and during this he also made a special appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The imam of Delhi’s Jama Masjid said, “In 1947, we were standing in the same situation. We are still in a worse situation today.
Where will the country go? Nobody knows that.”
Shahi Imam Bukhari said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should talk to the Muslims of the country. He said, “PM Modi should invite three Hindus and three Muslims for a discussion. PM Modi sir, enough is enough. The chair you are sitting on. You are doing justice. Win the hearts of Muslims. They are small.” People are spoiling the environment of the country, stop them, I will tell my youth, please be patient.
Bukhari made this appeal at a time when four people were killed in violence over the survey of the Jama Masjid in Sambhal. Along with this, applications have been filed in the courts regarding the survey of mosques in some parts of the country.
Violence broke out in Sambhal after a survey of the Mughal-era Shahi Jama Masjid in Kot Garvi area of Sambhal was conducted on November 24 on the order of the district court in Sambhal. Four people were killed and many injured in the violence. Since then, the situation in the district has been tense.
