ShimlaIn Himachal Pradesh, the Sukho government and Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla have come face to face. After the Indo-Tibet border issue, the governor has now reacted to the statements of the Sukhothai government regarding the appointment of the vice-chancellor in the university. Meanwhile, the governor looked quite angry.

In fact, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has reacted strongly to the government’s statement which said that the government gives money for the operation of the state’s universities and in such a case the VC should stay with him regarding the appointment of the administrative authority. On a question about reducing the powers of the Governor in the Governor’s Bill, Shukla said that the Bill has not come to him yet. When the bill comes, it will be seen what has been passed in it, but one of his statements is not correct, which says that the government gives money.

The governor added that if the government gives money, it is not a private institution. It is a public institution of Himachal Pradesh. Governments should sacrifice themselves for public interest, not usurp public interest.

No appointment for a long time.

Many universities in the state, including the Himachal Pradesh University, have not appointed a regular VC for a long time. Academics believe lack of coordination between the Raj Bhavan and the state government is a major reason for this. Responding to a question on Thursday on the bill for appointment of vice-chancellors in Agriculture University, Palampur and Horticulture University, Noni, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla criticized the Himachal government. Governor Shukla said that the bill has not reached him yet.

Approved in Monsoon session.

The bill to appoint vice-chancellors in Agricultural University, Palampur and Horticulture University, Noni was passed in the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on September 4 only with the advice and assistance of the government, but it is yet to reach the Raj Bhavan. The amended bill also provides for the formation of a management board. However, the opposition strongly opposed the amendment bill presented by then Agriculture Minister Chandrakumar. The amended bill was termed as an infringement of the Governor’s powers. The ruling party among the opposition passed the bill by voice vote, after which the bill is to be sent to the Raj Bhavan for the Governor’s assent, but so far the bill has not reached the Raj Bhavan. However, it remains to be seen where this bill lands right now.

Negi’s statement was also counterattacked.

Cabinet Minister Jagat Singh Negi had made a statement regarding the Tibet-China border with Himachal Pradesh and said that Chinese helicopters have been seen on the border in Kannur. To this, the governor replied that the minister should not make such a statement. Because it is a central government matter. Jagat Negi also retaliated on this.
