Mumbai: Shocking figures of farmer deaths have come to light in Maharashtra. A total of 430 farmers have committed suicide in Maharashtra's Marathwada region in the first six months of this year. Of the total 430 cases, 256 cases were eligible for ex-gratia money, out of which 169 cases were granted, the official said. 20 have been dismissed and 154 cases are under investigation. According to the data provided by the Divisional Commissioner's office, 101 farmers committed suicide in Bed, while 64 in Chhatrapati Sambhaj Nagar, 40 in Jalna, 31 in Prabhani, 17 in Hingoli, 68 in Nanded, 33 in Latur.
