Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned Iran on Sunday that if Iran tries to harm Israel, it may face a disaster similar to Gaza or Beirut.

According to AFP, Gallant’s statement came after a recent missile attack by Iran that targeted two Israeli air force bases.

The Israeli Defense Minister said ‘Iranian attacks did not damage any capabilities of the Israeli Air Force – no planes were affected, no squadrons were grounded.’

Gallant added, ‘Anyone who thinks that the slightest attempt to harm us can deter us from taking action should look at our successes in Gaza and Beirut.’

Heavy Israeli airstrikes on Beirut

According to the Reuters news agency, Israel carried out heavy airstrikes on areas south of Beirut in the early hours of Sunday, the biggest attack since the escalation of Israeli operations against Hezbollah last month.

According to local media and eyewitnesses, these attacks caused severe destruction in the southern areas of Beirut and clouds of smoke hung over the city.

During the attacks, continuous explosions were heard in the city for half an hour and these attacks could be seen from several kilometers away.
