America has announced to provide more support for the security of its ally Israel. Israel will have a security cover that will be very difficult for Iran and its proxies to penetrate. Since the beginning of the war, the United States has been providing all kinds of support to Israel and using all its power for its security.
As the scope of attacks by Israel’s enemies is increasing, America is also coming forward to protect its friend. The Pentagon has announced that it is going to supply Israel with the Advanced Anti-Missile System (THAAD). In addition, the US is going to deploy additional troops in Israel.

Iran is sure to shudder at the US announcement as it has threatened to retaliate after the attack on itself and now the US is on high alert to protect Israel from a retaliatory strike.
Israel will now get THAAD.
Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin has ordered the deployment of Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) batteries and US military personnel to Israel to help strengthen the country’s air defenses, the US Defense Department said on Sunday. This new US aid shows its commitment to Israel’s security.
How effective is THAAD?
According to a Congressional Research Service report in April, the US military has seven THAAD batteries. Considered as a complement to the Patriot interceptor, the system can protect a large area by engaging targets at a range of 150–200 km (93–124 mi). Typically, each THAAD consists of six truck-mounted launchers, 48 interceptors, radio and radar equipment and requires 95 troops to operate.
A year ago, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered the deployment of a THAAD battery and additional Patriot battalions around the Middle East to enhance US military security and help defend Israel. Israel’s acquisition of THAAD will further strengthen its security, as the current air defense system has failed to intercept missiles from Hezbollah, the Houthis and Iran on several occasions.
