A horrific video of the martyrdom of 15 Palestinian aid workers by the Israeli army in Gaza has surfaced.
The US newspaper The New York Times released the video, which was found from the mobile phone of a martyr. The phones and the body were recovered from the mass grave a week later.
The video can clearly see that ambulances, fire trucks and UN vehicles are present with identity marks, whose emergency lights are also burning. However, as soon as the relief convoy arrived in the area of Rafah, the firing began.
As two rescue workers move towards an ambulance to save the injured, the Israeli army fired heavy bullets at them.
In the video, a relief worker can be heard reading the word evidence, whose words were: “Mom, forgive me, helping people was my way.”
The United Nations and Palestinian Hilal Ahmar have called the incident a war crime and called for an independent investigation from the Security Council. According to the United Nations, the incident is the deadliest attack on Hilal Ahmar and Red Cross since 2017.
According to the New York Times, two days after the incident, Israeli soldiers hid ambulances and bodies in the mass grave. Satellite photos and evidence from the opportunity revealed that it was a planned and brutal act.
According to the UN, since October 7, 2023, more than 50,000 Palestinian civilians have been martyred in Israeli attacks, including more than 1,060 medical personnel.
