Jana Duggar is clearly a woman of her own will, friends.
First of all, it took the 34-year-old a very long time to get married (by her unique family’s standards), and she finally exchanged wedding vows with Stephen Wissman just a few days ago.
“It’s incredible to see it happen and it’s hard to believe. It’s a dream come true,” Jana told People magazine about the wedding.
Now, meanwhile, it’s become clear that Duggar has been playing by her own rules for a while when it comes to Wissman … as suspected by those who saw the newlyweds interact on their big day.
On August 24, Jana uploaded a video to YouTube titled “Surprising My Boyfriend at Work”, during which she and her two younger siblings went on a road trip to Nebraska to visit Wissman, where he was installing an irrigation system.
,[It] “That made her whole day — and mine too,” Duggar said in the caption of the footage, thus explaining Wissman’s reaction to being confronted by her.
How cute, isn’t it?
But this is where it gets controversial…
Meanwhile, when the couple first saw each other, Duggar and Wissman ran toward each other and hugged — face-to-face!
Moments later, Jenna got into Stephen’s car with him — and they held hands the entire trip!
Both of these actions violate the sacred courtship rules taught to their sons and daughters by ridiculous parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, who allow their kids only a “side hug” when they date.
And of course any kind of kissing or hand holding is a no-no.
It’s also worth noting that Jana referred to Wissman as “boyfriend” before the two of them got married and wore jeans in public, which is yet another instance of her symbolically showing her parents the middle finger.
Duggar, on the other hand, is now heading to Nebraska for Wissman.
And she will probably be pregnant with his child in the near future.
Jana and Stephen have known each other for years because their very controlling parents are good friends. Even Jana’s brother Jeremiah Duggar is married to Wissman’s sister Hannah Wissman. This is all very normal.
