Janelle Brown spent her first Christmas without son Garrison.
But he was too engrossed in his thoughts.
As Sister Wives fans are well aware at this point, the 25-year-old took her own life with a self-inflicted gunshot in March.
In memory of Garrison, his mother took some time to commemorate her late son on Instagram Stories this week, sharing a set of photos taken of their family together on Christmas Eve in 2023.
“Miss you dear,” Brown wrote alongside the memorable snapshot. “I’m so grateful that last year we were all together and took pictures.”
The first photo Jenelle uploaded was a family photo of her with all six of her children — whom she shares with ex Kody Brown — their spouses, and her grandchildren.
The second photo shows Garrison pulling his mother in for a kiss on the cheek.
The Flagstaff Police Department reported at the time that Garrison was found dead in his home in Arizona on March 5.
According to the official report, officers responded to a report of a death inside a home and confirmed that Garrison’s brother Gabriel “had found Mr. Brown deceased.”
The manner of death was later ruled as “suicide”.
That’s all, there is a lot of sadness all around.
Janelle has made it a point to honor Garrison at every major occasion since his death.
For example, the TLC personality previously spoke openly about celebrating the holidays without Garrison when she and her family gathered for Thanksgiving.
After everyone packed their bags and left Jenelle’s house, the Sister Wives cast member dedicated an Instagram post to Garrison… along with an old photo of him as a kid.
“First ‘big’ holiday without you, darling. We all gathered in NC to celebrate together with your photo close by,” Janelle captioned her December 1 post.
“We laughed at your silly humor and told many stories in your honor. We ate food, played games and enjoyed each other’s company. Everyone is returning home now and normal life will resume from tomorrow. But I feel you close to me.
Jenelle and Cody confirmed the terrible news about their baby in a joint statement on social media, saying in March that they were “deeply saddened to announce the loss” of Garrison and adding:’
He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. Their loss will leave a hole so big in our lives that it will take our breath away.
