New Delhi: Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot surprised everyone and resigned from his post today. He has also removed the DP from his X-handle. Along with this, Gehlot has also written a letter to Kejriwal. He has listed several reasons for his resignation in the letter. Kailash Gehlot once called Arvind Kejriwal as his Hanuman, now his move is surprising political experts. Gehlot has highlighted several things in the letter, including the dispute over Kejriwal’s old bungalow.

What has Kailash Gehlot written in the letter?

Kailash Gehlot, who holds the post of Transport Minister in the Delhi government, has mentioned several things in the letter. In a letter to Arvind Kejriwal, he said that there are many shameful and strange controversies like Shesh Mahal, which are now making everyone doubt whether we still believe in being common man. It is now clear that if the Delhi government spends most of its time fighting the Centre, there can be no real development for Delhi. I am left with no option but to part ways with AAP and hence I am resigning from the core membership of Aam Aadmi Party.

The party did not fulfill its previous promises

Gehlot further wrote that I also want to mention that Aam Aadmi Party is facing serious challenges today. The challenges are from within, to the values that unite us. Political ambitions have overtaken our commitment to the people, leaving many promises unfulfilled. For example, we promised to turn the Yamuna into a clean river, but we never did. Now the Yamuna River is probably more polluted than ever.

Kailash Gehlot further wrote that another thing is that instead of fighting for people’s rights, we are only fighting for our political agenda. This has adversely affected our ability to provide basic services to the people of Delhi. I started my political journey with a commitment to serve the people of Delhi and I want to continue it. So I have no option but to part ways with Aam Aadmi Party and hence I am resigning from the core membership of Aam Aadmi Party. I wish you all the best for your health and future. I thank all my party colleagues and well-wishers for their good wishes and kindness during this journey.
