A unique incident took place in Karachi’s Abbas Goth area when the police raided and arrested a 60-year-old citizen on Wednesday for making his grandson a motorcycle thief.
The police told Independent Urdu the details of how the grandfather and grandson used to commit the theft of a motorcycle.
SHO West Muhammad Amin said that a boy named Bilal from Abbas Town filed a complaint regarding the theft of a motorcycle.
‘Within a few days, the CCT footage from Abbas Town came out which surprised everyone. In the footage, the 10-year-old boy was seen stealing a bike with great skill.

“Then the police entertained the child for some time, after which the child told another surprising thing that his grandfather had trained him to steal a motorcycle.”
According to the SHO, the boy said: ‘We have stolen many motorcycles together as grandparents.’
The SHO said that 60-year-old Saifullah (grandfather) was arrested on Tuesday night after monitoring the child’s movements for a few days. And in this group were not only grandparents, but it was a six-member gang, which included one woman and four men and a ten-year-old child.
The police say that ‘the accused belongs to the inter-provincial lifter gang, the arrested 10-year-old accused used to steal motorcycles, while the accused Hamad, Muzamal and Rafiq used to store and open the stolen motorcycles.’
According to the police, among the arrested accused is an accused mechanic who used to open old motorcycles and the co-accused sold them. The arrested female accused Zainab and accused Muhammad Anas used to take the newly stolen motorcycles to Hub Balochistan and sell them.
According to the police, 14 motorcycles, seven broken chassis, nine engines and other parts have been recovered from the arrested accused while further investigation is on.
