The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued a white paper of the proposed mines and minerals amendment bill 2025.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gundapur has said that misunderstanding of the proposed amendment is being spread in the Mines and Mineral Act, no one is being given any authority to the provincial government in the amendment, it seems that a mafia is opposing reforms for its own personal interests.

Official sources have issued a white paper of the proposed Mines and Minerals Amendment Bill 2025. Minerals laws will be made compatible with other provinces and federal, widespread investment will be promoted internationally and national levels, Mineral Investment Facility Authority will be established.

Mineral titles and licensing have been made transparent and accessible through the digital mining system, the license period has been reduced to 3 years for ease of leasing, free and empowered appellate tribunal will be set up for neutral and quick justice, leaving the geological database.

A special force will be set up to take stringent measures against illegal mining, illegal mining will be prevented through machinery confiscation and penalties. Despite the new legislation, the lease and applications will be maintained, with opportunities for the districts, small -scale and investment limits for artizing mining.
