Kolkata: A Kolkata court acquitted a 31 -year -old man last week, who spent eight years behind bars to kill a friend, rapidly criticized the police for sending important evidence for forensic testing and failing to incorrectly send the investigation.

The prosecution had argued that Chiranjeeb’s mobile phone pike connected him to murder. But the court rejected that argument, asking why a killer would put on such impure evidence.
