The country’s Defense Ministry has said that there have been explosions at a Russian ammunition depot in the east of Moscow.

On Tuesday, there was an explosion in a splotter warehouse in a defense facility in the Western Vladimir region. The site is believed to have a major ammunition for the Russian army.

Russia’s army convicted the explosion on ammunition, which caused the storage building exploded after a fire broke out due to “violation of security requirements”.

Emergency situation has been declared in Kirjhach district and residents of nearby villages have been vacated.

The site is a facility in the main missile and 51st armory of the artillery directorate, about 130 kilometers (80 mi) in the north-east of the Russian capital, local media.

Russian media reported that a resident in a village close to the site had seen a shell from a warehouse falling at a neighbor’s house. The Tass State News Agency reported that the shell did not explode and there was no house at that time.

The Governor of the Vladimir region has said that an explosion occurred in the district and later more details will be released.

Alexander Awedev also threatened journalists and residents with fine if he shared informal information about the explosion.
