Paris Olympics: Carlos Yulo is the frontrunner to win a medal

Carlos Yulo has three opportunities to win a medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and his first chance comes on Wednesday in the men’s artistic gymnastics all-around final at Bercy Arena, which could be a preview of podium action on vault and floor exercise this weekend.
However, there is little time left for the two-time world champion Filipino to find success in the all-around as he finished ninth in qualification, which is enough to secure a spot in the top 24.

MANILA, Philippines — Team Philippines’ Kayla Sanchez said her performance in the women’s 100m freestyle heats at the Paris Olympics 2024 was the result of hard work in training.
Sánchez made it into the top 16, finishing 10th and qualifying for the semi-finals, setting a national record with a time of 53.67 seconds. Full Story

MANILA, Philippines — Team Philippines’ Kiyomi Watanabe said she has no regrets despite the early end to her campaign in women’s -63kg judo at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Watanabe was nowhere near China’s Tang Jing in the round of 32 match at the Champ-de-Mars Arena, where the Filipino-Japanese pair lasted just 51 seconds. Full Story
