Mumbai: State government introduces hike and incentives government employee And contract worker Like Police Kotwal And home Guard On Monday.
The cabinet decisions came before the assembly elections to be held in November.
The Cabinet approved 10 percent increase in the honorarium given to police constables. Gram Rozgar Sevaks will now get honorarium and incentive subsidy of Rs 8,000.
The gratuity limit on retirement and ex-gratia payment on death for state government employees was increased from Rs 14 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
The state government has almost doubled the duty allowance of about 40,000 home guards in the state from Rs 570 to Rs 1,083 per day.
An official said, “Apart from this, dearness allowance is Rs 200, exercise allowance is Rs 180, pocket allowance is Rs 100 and food allowance is Rs 250. For this, an expenditure of about Rs 795 crore has been approved.”
The state government also announced the creation of 4,860 special posts of teachers in the state.
“It was also approved to implement the Compassionate Aadhaar Policy for Kotwals. Twelve thousand seven hundred and ninety-three Kotwals of the state will get its benefit. In case of death during service or incapacitation due to serious illness or accident, their families can avail the benefits of Compassionate Aadhaar. But will be eligible for appointment,” an officer.
The incentive subsidy for Gram Rozgar Sevaks will depend on the number of days they complete their work. “Gram Rozgar Sevaks working more than 2,000 days at the village level will be given incentive grant of 1% of the labor cost. Gram Rozgar Sevaks who work for 2,000 days will be given Rs 1,000 per month, and Gram Rozgar Sevaks who work more than 2,000 days will get Rs 2,000 traveling allowance and subsidy, an official said.
The decision to increase the limit of retirement gratuity and death gratuity for pensioners and family pensioners will be implemented from September.” This decision will be applicable to pensioners of recognized and aided educational institutions, non-agricultural universities and non-Govt. Colleges, and agricultural universities which have pension schemes,” said an official.
It was decided to waive one day technical break for temporary or contractual government employees, although there will be no benefit of in-service assured promotion scheme. “One day technical break will be waived for service and retirement benefits, which they have to avail after every 11 months,” an official said.
It was decided to give the option of lump sum pension to Zilla Parishad employees. “This will now apply to 10,693 zilla parishad employees,” an official said.
