Easton Cowan and Jacob Julian each scored two goals and Denver Barkey and Sam Dickinson had four assists each as the London Knights extended their winning streak to a double with a 5-3 victory over the Sarnia Sting at Canada Life Place on November 15. Raised to points.
London have now won 10 consecutive games and 13 of the last 14.
And the team’s winning streak wasn’t the only streak that continued.
Cowan survived its regular season and went 5–0.
Cowan saw his regular season scoring streak end on November 10 with an empty-net goal just 21.9 seconds later against the Guelph Storm to extend it to 49 consecutive games.
The Maple Leafs prospect got his chance to score 50 early against the Sting and did well. Cowan tied the game at 1-1 by drilling a Denver Barkey pass into the back of the Sarnia net on the Knights’ power play at 4:02 of the opening period.
Fifty games tied Cowan with Alexander Radulov on the Canadian Hockey League all-time list of all-time points with at least one point in each game. Radulov played 50 games with the Quebec Remparts in 2005–06.
The only players in CHL history with longer streaks are Jimmy Fox (52) and Doug Guillemot (55).

Cowan’s goal came after Zach Filak opened the scoring just 2:51 minutes into the game.
The first goal of the second period was scored by a Londoner, but not by a London Knight.
The two-on-oh quickly developed for Sarnia due to a turnover in the London zone, where former Knight Kedon Johnston found Beckham Edwards and put the puck behind Alexei Medvedev for a 2-1 Sting.
The goal drew attention from London as they took advantage of another power play as Barkey and Sam Dickinson combined to set up Cowan from the right side of the ice at the 16:09 mark of the second period.
Barkey and Dickinson recorded their third assists of the game with 8.3 seconds remaining in the middle period, as Dickinson got a puck ahead of Barkey. Barkey then fired a beautiful pass to Will Nicholl, who slipped in behind the Sarnia defense and then fired a puck through Nick Surzicia into the Sting net and the Knights took a 3-2 lead into the final 20 minutes.
Julien got his first chance of the game at 4:41 of the third period, when he ricocheted off the goal post from the left side of the Sarnia end.
Time expired with less than a minute remaining and with the goaltender pulled, the Sting got a goal from Zach Filak to make the score 4–3, but London responded immediately from a faceoff less than 30 seconds later as Dickinson threw a puck down the ice. Barkey races to beat Icing.
Barkey beat Icing and then fed Julian in his second half of the game and that sealed things for the Knights.
London defeated Sarnia 43–23.
The Knights finished atop the power play rankings in the OHL at 2-3.
He was 2-for-2 on the penalty kill and scored short-handed in the process.
