Moradabad: All the parties are working hard for the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. In this regard, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav came to publicize the by-elections to be held in Moradabad’s Kinderki assembly seat. Samajwadi Party has made Haji Rizwan its candidate from here. In his address, Akhilesh Yadav narrated an incident of distribution of tickets in the 2022 Assembly by-election and pointing to his candidate standing on the stage, told how he had cut the ticket of his MLA Haji Rizwan in that election. He said that actually Shafiqur Rahman Barak wanted to make his grandson Ziaur Rahman Barak MLA.
Akhilesh Yadav said, “I remember when there were last assembly elections, I canceled the ticket of Haji Rizwan Sahib, who was our MLA at that time. Our leader Shafiqur Rehman Barak wanted Ziaur Rehman Barak as MLA. I remember when he came to meet me, I felt that he wanted his grandson to become an MP, I said what are you doing, cut the ticket. Yes, they said make our grandson MLA, I said ok and at that time we gave our ticket to Haji Rizwan.
Akhilesh Yadav added, “You people didn’t agree with him. He joined a party that works on prepaid and postpaid. But the people of Kundaraki didn’t agree and on the Samajwadi Party’s election symbol. Voted. By giving MLA from here, you selected him and sent him to the assembly.”
