On Sunday, a delegation of the Trinamol Congress, including Rajya Sabha MP Sameerol Islam, Jangpur Lok Sabha MP Khalilur Rehman and Samsung Ganj TMC’s MLA went to the house of the victims, and spent more than an hour there. Attempts were made to give the victims a check but refused. Protests were held in Murshidabad, West Bengal. During this period, there was violence in Murshidabad. On April 11, during this sectarian violence, Hargobando Das (70) and his son Chandan were killed by a mob in Jaffarabad under the Summer Ganj police station.

“We do not want compensation,” said Hargobando Das’s family. Chandan’s wife Pinky Das asked if the money would be brought back to my husband or my father. He said, “Why should we accept the compensation?” “We have clearly told him that we do not want compensation,” said Jatika Das, daughter of Hargobando Das. He returned the check sent by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Mastermind of Murshidabad violence arrested

Meanwhile, police arrested a fourth person and a central conspirator from Chopra in North Dingpur district and brought him to Summer Ganj on Sunday. Zuel Sheikh, a prominent conspiracy directly involved in the murder case, was arrested from northern Dingpur. He is a resident of Sigri village near Jaffarabad and fled after the incident.
