Man UDT defeated Everton 2–0 on Sunday to make it to the top three of WSL with Grace Clinton and Dominic Jansen’s goals.
Mark Skinner’s side was the first to kick on the busy day of league action before the international break. He also did his job, finished second in the league before Arsenal’s match against Crystal Palace.
Everton did not always make it easy, especially in the first 20 minutes. Kelly Gago scored a goal within two minutes before forcing a reactive savings from Falon Tulis-Joys, before the 12th WSL clean sheet of the campaign was registered.
But a terrible error by goalkeeper Courntey Brosnan saw man UTD scoring the opener, and Everton never recovered, for some time with some suspicious decisions that will worry about boss Brian Sorenson.
Broansan came out to collect an Ella tone free kick – but missed by his efforts. The ball was cleaned from the line, but as far as Jensen, who came out of the house.
Man instigated the late Everton region in the first half – Celin Bijet made a big savings from Brosnan, before Maya Le Tysier made an attempt at the top of the crossbar – and it took them just 90 seconds of the break to double their lead.
Lih Galton – which was later taken with a knock in half – crossed the Heather Payne inside the box, and his low cross was fluttering at the house by a identified Clinton.
Melvin Mallard could add a late third, but his strike was brilliantly distanced away from Broansan, as the man UDD went to 42 points in the WSL table. Everton is ranked seventh before the remaining Games on Sunday.
