Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has given Manchester United an F grade in his mid-season report. With the Premier League season almost at its halfway mark, clubs are now preparing for the busy festive period. Carragher gave an A to his former club Liverpool.

Carragher said he would have given Arne Slott’s team an A+ had they not dropped points at home to Nottingham Forest and Fulham. Forest, managed by former Wolves coach Nuno Espirito Santo, received an A+ from Carragher for their impressive performances this season.

Liverpool currently top the league table with 39 points, while Chelsea and Arsenal are second and third with 35 and 33 points respectively. Defending champions Manchester City were given an E+, having lost six of their 17 matches.

Manchester United’s performance this season has been very poor and they are currently ranked 13th in the league table. He dismissed former manager Eric ten Hag midway through the campaign and brought in Ruben Amorim from Sporting CP. However, the Portuguese is also facing difficulties in the Premier League.

Carragher’s report card of every Premier League side:

Liverpool – A

Chelsea – A-

Arsenal – C+

NOTTINGHAM FOREST – A+

Manchester City – E+

Aston Villa – C+

Bournemouth – A

There is just four points difference between Liverpool and Chelsea in the Premier League table

Only four points separate Liverpool and Chelsea in the Premier League table, but the Reds have a game in hand. It is expected that there will be a tough competition between the two sides for the title. Arsenal, who are third, are six points clear of the Merseyside club with a game to spare.

Carragher also spoke about Marcus Rashford being repeatedly left out of the team and said his future at the club was probably over. As for Manchester City, Carragher said they are in desperate need of rebuilding ahead of their next campaign.
