Congress has made a big claim about Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The party says Khattar approached the Congress after he was removed from the post of Chief Minister of Haryana. However, till now nothing has been officially said by the Bharatiya Janata Party leader. Khattar had resigned as Chief Minister before the Lok Sabha elections. After that Naib Singh Saini was handed over the command of the state.
According to a Tribune report, senior Congress leader Pawan Kheda claims that Khattar joined the Congress after he was removed from the post of chief minister. He also said that Khattar was deeply saddened by his removal from office and had sent a message expressing his desire to join the Congress along with some colleagues. He said, ‘It can’t be. It didn’t happen….one of our senior leaders will tell the whole story. They refuse.
According to the report, he questioned why Khattar was suddenly removed from the post of Chief Minister after more than 9 years. He asked why her face was missing from the posters now. Kheda said that the BJP leadership has not yet discussed the issue. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi often hides India’s poverty from foreign visitors and the same has happened in Khattar’s case.
The Congress leader says that covering up Khattar’s failures this time will not cool down the anger of the people of Haryana. “Voters are so angry that when they press the EVM button, there is a risk that the machine itself may break,” he said.
According to the report, he also claimed that Khattar was allegedly working to defeat his own party’s candidates. He said, ‘We know who was conspiring to defeat each other. A senior BJP leader was in touch till the final list of tickets was released, but it could not happen.
