The meteorological department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain. Heavy rain with thundershower at few places is also likely. Temperatures in Dehradun have dropped due to rain on Wednesday. Dehradun recorded a maximum temperature of 29.9 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 22.7 degrees Celsius. Pantnagar recorded a maximum temperature of 32.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 24.5 degrees Celsius. The maximum and minimum temperature of Mukteshwar was 15.1 degrees Celsius.
New Tehri recorded a maximum temperature of 25.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 17.6 degrees Celsius. It rained in Dehradun on Wednesday. The rain started late at night and continued intermittently throughout the day due to which water accumulated in many places and people faced difficulties.
Due to the heavy rain, the rivers were also filled with water. More than 12 people fled for their lives and spent the night in a poultry farm after debris fell in three villages of Raipur region. In Lower Nehru village, a street was filled with several feet of water and due to the inundation of houses, the Municipal Corporation team installed pumps to remove water from the streets and houses. Two former employees of the school and their families were injured while a house was completely damaged when a large tree fell on Kent Road.
