Due to air pollution, the Noida DM has ordered the extension of online classes for children from Nursery to Class 12 in Noida and Greater Noida till November 25 i.e. Monday, during which offline access will remain closed, schools only. Will run in online mode. The Noida DM had earlier issued orders that all classes would be made online by November 23. Further decision will be taken after seeing the situation after November 23.
An order issued by District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Dharamveer Singh said that Delhi-NCR’s Air Quality Index (AQI) has reached the severe category, which has led to the closure of schools from pre-school to class. Offline classes up to 12 had to be closed. In this regard, the DM of Noida had issued an order on November 18. As per the order, all the schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar will function in online mode till November 25.
Also, the period of closure of offline classes for students upto 12th in both urban and rural areas in Gurugram and Faridabad has been extended till November 25. Gurugram district commissioner Ajay Kumar issued an order citing poor AQI levels in almost all urban and rural parts of the district. It was also said that in the interest of health and safety of children, the order issued earlier on November 18 is being carried forward to conduct online classes on November 25 in all public and private schools of Gurugram district. will
On the other hand, Faridabad DC Vikram Singh also issued a similar order. All offline classes for students up to class 12 will remain closed till November 25, however, classes will be conducted in online mode, the order said.
Let us tell you that last week i.e. on November 18, the Delhi government ordered classes 10th and 12th to go online amid rising pollution levels. Along with this, the Supreme Court had directed all states to take an immediate decision to stop all physical education classes for students up to class 12. In view of increasing hazardous pollution and toxic smog, the Supreme Court had directed schools in Delhi-NCR to conduct online classes till 12th.
