The brutal killing of a doctor in Kolkata and the incident of sexual harassment of girls in Badlapur have sparked outrage across the country. The hearing of these two cases is ongoing from the High Court to the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, a case of rape of a nurse has come to light in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri. This incident has caused outrage among people in Maharashtra. A large number of nurses have taken to the streets and are demanding the execution of the accused. The 19-year-old nursing student had booked an auto to return home. It was this auto driver who wronged him.
According to preliminary investigation, the auto driver had offered the nurse a drink of water. When the student drank the water, she fainted. The reason for this was that there was something intoxicating in this water. The auto driver then took the student to a secluded place and committed the crime there. After regaining consciousness, the victim informed her family and registered a case with the police. Currently, the police are busy investigating the matter and have a CCTV footage in their hands. In this footage, it can be seen that the student was traveling in an auto. This is expected to lead to the arrest of the auto driver.
Currently, the victim is undergoing treatment in a government hospital. Ever since the incident was reported, people are angry. Late at night, a large number of people came out on the road and blocked the road. Police say that immediate action will be taken in this case. People moved out of the way only on the explanation of the administration. The Ratnagiri incident has also added to the concern of the Maharashtra government, which is already on the back foot regarding the Badlapur incident. Let us tell you that in Badlapur two girls of only three years were sexually assaulted by the cleaner in their school. People protested strongly on this issue too and gathered at the railway station.
