Rahul Gandhi Cooking Video: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress veteran Rahul Gandhi visited a Dalit home in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Here he also tried his hand in the family kitchen. Grind the garlic and prepare toor dal along with gram greens. Then had dinner with the family. Rahul Gandhi has also shared his video on social media. Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media – Even today very few people know about Dalit kitchen. Curious about what they eat, how they cook, and its social and political significance, I spent an afternoon with Ajay Tukaram Sandeji and Anjana Tukaram Sandeji.

On Saturday, Rahul Gandhi arrived at the home of Dalit farmer Ajay Tukaram Sande in Kolhapur’s Onchon village. Here he not only enjoyed delicious and “spicy” food with the family but also helped prepare it. He was also the author of the book ‘Dalit Kitchen of Marathwada’ along with Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Shahu Patole. “Nobody knows what we (Dalits) eat,” Patole said.

Rahul Gandhi shared the video.

Rahul Gandhi said that you said an interesting thing that no one knows what you eat, how you cook, that’s why I came here today. “I don’t eat a lot of spices and chillies,” Rahul Gandhi told him. Sharing the video on social media, Rahul wrote, “He respectfully invited me to his home in Kolhapur, Maharashtra and allowed me to help him in the kitchen. Together we made ‘herbhyachi bhaji’ of toor dal with chickpea greens and eggplant.

Rahul Gandhi further wrote, “Discussing Patulji and the Sande family’s personal experiences of casteism and discrimination, we discussed the lack of awareness about Dalit food and the importance of documenting this culture. Gives share and rights. And we will protect this constitution but real inclusion and equality of all in the society will be possible only when every Indian strives with the spirit of brotherhood in his heart.

The Sande family, who met Rahul Gandhi, said they were completely unprepared for his sudden arrival. “First we gave them water and tea and later they said they were hungry and offered to make something for all of us in their kitchen,” he said.
