The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has started a second trial of blocking illegal VPNs through firewalls.
According to PTA sources, this trial of VPN blocking will continue for two days and during the trial, the blocking of unregistered VPNs will be practiced while PTA has given 30 days to register VPNs. The deadline of November has been given.
After a two-day trial, the closure of unregistered VPNs will be formally started from December 1. More than 25,000 VPNs have been registered so far.
It should be noted that the first trial of virtual private network (VPN) shutdown by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) was conducted a few days ago.
