Tahir Abbas, the activist who was dropped from a container during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protest in Islamabad on November 26, has met the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday. After this meeting, the rumors that Tahir Abbas died by falling from the container have died down.

A few days ago, a video went viral on the social networking website X (formerly Twitter) in which Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at D Chowk in Islamabad. During the protest, a person was being dropped from a container while offering prayers.

The same video continued to be mentioned on TV channels including social media and the government was criticized.

A few social media users also claimed that ‘the man was praying on the container when the Rangers personnel dropped him from the container, due to which he lost his life.’

But the position of the Islamabad Police along with the federal ministers came out that the worker was not praying but was making tik tok and he did not die by falling down from the container but is alive and information is being obtained about this worker. .

Speaking to Independent Urdu, Station House Officer (SHO) of Kohsar police station Shafqat Faiz denied the claim and said that the man is alive. However, he did not respond to provide his details or to meet him.

Meanwhile, a video surfaced on social networking website X of the man saying that he had made a bet with his friends that he would climb a container and make a video.

During the protest at D Chowk, an activist can be seen apparently praying on top of a container, where he was praying after the prayer in the presence of two Rangers personnel. Meanwhile, after a third Rangers official came to the container, the worker was pushed and knocked down.

On Wednesday, PTI shared some details about the activist and a short video to the media.

The released video and statement stated that the name of the person who fell down from the container at D Chowk on November 26 is Tahir Abbas and he belongs to Mandi Bahauddin city of Punjab province. After treatment, Tahir Abbas has been shifted to Chief Minister House Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In the released video, it can be seen that the worker was taken out of the ambulance and taken to the Chief Minister’s House, where Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur can be seen meeting the worker and dressing him in a chador. PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram can also be seen with him in the video. In the video, the worker can be seen apparently wearing plaster on both hands due to injuries.
