If life can be born from the womb of death, then lakes can boil in rocky rocks. Lakes in which millions of lives are born and then we draw our energy from these breathing bodies.

Before landing at Quetta airport, when a boring journey was declared over, I saw the lake from the window of the plane. The lake has become as beautiful as the blue sky. At the same time I decided to go to Hana Lake like Khalti Lake in Ghazar Valley.

Munir, the driver who picked us up from the airport, I asked him how to get to Hana Lake. ‘Just 30 minutes,’ was all Munir said and we set off for our first wander after arriving at the hotel.

The city of Quetta, at an altitude of more than 1700 meters above sea level, has never been introduced to lakes, springs and glaciers. The city became infamous for provincialism and bombings.

The Punjab enmity was linked to Quetta under a conspiracy, but this city also has a scene of dividing life in its surroundings. His face was kept hidden.

We checked out of the hotel and traveled 10 km northwards, winding through the slavish windings of mountain passes to reach Hana Lake.

This lake in the Zarghun range in the Orak Valley was created for recreation in 1894 during the British rule.

Spread over an area of 1818 acres, the lake has a depth of 43 feet, with a storage capacity of 32.2 million gallons of water.

Although this lake is not natural, but from 1894 to 1997, this lake was populated with water in such a way that chickens built their habitats and bred here. Birds from Siberia come here in winter and stay here until spring.

The British Raj constructed a bridge consisting of five iron gates and bridges to bring the water flowing from Oork springs and melting snow to Lake Hana.

Hana Lake remained dry from 2000 to 2004 due to lack of maintenance. Even now Hana Lake lacks proper maintenance despite collection of tickets.

The lake is losing its beauty due to the receding water level and the gardens on the sides have also lost their natural appeal.

One of the reasons was that we were there at the beginning of January when Pat Jhar had scratched the greenery. But despite this, administrative negligence was also seen here. How good it was that we did not see the lake that we saw face to face while sitting on the ship. But the search lost the impression of the lake that was formed during the flight.

Boating training is also offered at Hana Lake. A few years ago, more than 15 people lost their lives in a boat capsizing accident. Now the chair lift was also not functional.

We left the poplar, pine and ash trees and used ladders to reach the surface of the lake and went down. The lake, which looked like a circle from above, got closer to the surface of the water.

The residents of Quetta have the advantage of celebrating their weekly holiday at a recreational spot and the nearest resort is Hana Lake. Therefore, before dusk, a large number of people, including children and women, were present here. This lake, which has come under the management of the Pakistan Army, also maintains a sense of security for tourists.

We roam around in search of lakes and climb the heights of Gilgit and Skardu, then Hana Lake became available.
