New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attacked the leader of the Congress and the leader of the opposition, Rahul Gandhi called him “nomination” and alleged that the Congress party deliberately keeps him Ayodhya dispute alive.
In an interview with ANI, Adityanath criticized Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jito Yatra, called it a “Bharat Todo campaign” and alleged that the Congress leader was working against India’s interests. “He criticizes India outside India. The country has understood his nature and intentions. In the politics of India, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Li Rahul Jais Kuch Namun Rehen Chaiye Chahi Aye Ayra Acha Aacha Rahe,” He said.
Adityanath also questioned the Congress rule in the last decades, accusing the party of failing to fulfill the promises of development. “One Bharat should be a Sri Shat Bharat Nahhi? You should ask him, then, what he had been doing for six to ten decades? He should have asked his grandfather, grandmother and father. Why did he not do it at that time?” He said.
The UP CM claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi felt that the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the construction of the triple talaq and the initiative of the promotion of the Kumbh Mela, pointing to the initiative.
A swipe in Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Adityanath accused him of glorious figures such as Jinnah, Babur and Aurangzeb. He said, “They (protests) who respect Aurangzeb and Babur will be able to see those qualities in them. People have seen it with their own eyes, and they will see it in future also.”
Yadav had earlier faced criticism for a 2021 comment, where he mentioned that Sardar Patel, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Jinnah all studied in the same institution and contributed to India’s freedom struggle.
