A case of rape of a newlywed bride has come to light in UP’s Bhadohi. A 20-year-old newly married woman was raped by a youth at her home, police said on Saturday. He said that the accused has been identified as 28-year-old Rahul.
According to the news agency, the police said that the incident of rape took place on Monday evening when the woman’s husband had gone out of the house. Police station in-charge Satchidananda Pandey said, ‘The accused Rahul (28) first tried to have an illicit relationship with the woman by luring her with money, but when she protested, he gagged her and strangled her. Raped.’
When the husband returned, the rape victim narrated her ordeal to him and he contacted the police, Pandey said. He said that based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered against the accused under Sections 64 (1) rape, 351 (2) criminal intimidation of the Indian Justice Code and further legal action is being taken.
Rape of nurse in Bhadohi
Let us tell you that a case of rape has also come up in Bhadohi and here a 59-year-old man has been accused of rape. Police said the nurse lodged a complaint against the lab technician and said he raped her for several years with false promises of marriage. The police have arrested the accused.
According to the agency, a 36-year-old nurse has filed an application against 59-year-old Chintamani Sharma in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Sabiha Khatun. Chintamani is posted as Lab Technician in Health Department.
