The court upheld the decision
Justice RN Ladha refused to interfere in the lower court order on April 2 and said that the order was approved after considering all the facts. The High Court said that Maharashtra Human Bali and other inhuman, bad methods and the Black Magic prevention and elimination Act, 2013, has to stop harmful ways, but it does not apply to legitimate religious teachings.
Fraudulent charges
The Bombay High Court said the complainant voluntarily attended the seminar where the accused’s CD was allegedly run. The court said it was a controversial fact that Modek did not organize the seminar. Pune resident Rohan Kulkarni, in his complaint in 2014, accused Modic and his colleague Narendra Patil of cheating through workshops by a false promise of spiritual guidance and career in his career. In 2020, the lower court acquitted Modek from the case, saying the allegations leveled against him under the Act were not correct. (With the agency’s input)
