Rishabh Pant returned to the T20 international team after a road accident at the end of 2022 but cricket fans were eagerly waiting for his return to Test cricket. Pant recently scored a century in the second innings of the first Test of the two-match series against Bangladesh, and was instrumental in the first innings as well. Pant, the third Test of the two-match series is scheduled to be played from September 27 at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Pant’s last Test series was also against Bangladesh. Team India toured Bangladesh in late 2022. After returning from there, Pant’s car met with a terrible accident while going to his home. Former Team India cricketer Mohammad Kaif believes that Pant is not in his best form yet, yet he is Team India’s biggest match-winner.

In an interview to The Times of India, Kaif said, ‘When the England team came to India, Rishabh Pant was not in the team. Pant, who comes in to bat at number five six, is the biggest match-winner for Team India at that position. He has played many match winning innings. No one can forget his innings at the Gabba. He scored centuries in difficult conditions in South Africa and England.

“Talking about statistics, I think Pant is the best wicket-keeper batsman in Test cricket,” added Kaif. In Indian think tanks, no one thinks of anyone but Rishabh Pant. His best is yet to come. When he turns 27, his batting will improve further and then he will hit his best form. Rishabh Pant’s best is yet to come, especially in Test cricket. Pant and Dhoni now have six centuries each in Test cricket.
