Taking it on Instagram, Pants expressed their praise for the 40 -year -old Bengal cricketer, accepting their extraordinary wicketkeeping skills and contribution to Indian cricket.
“As a fellow keeper, I have always praised your skills and your craft. You have written all the success and happiness in your next chapter, Wriddhiman Saha Bhai,” Pant wrote.

Saha was awarded a guard of honor by his Bengal team colleagues marking a emotional moment in his farewell season at the Eden Gardens on the second day of his Ranji Trophy match.
A stallwart behind the stumps, Saha, overtakes an impressive heritage in Indian cricket, which has represented the country in 40 Tests and nine ODIs, scoring 1,353 international runs at an average of 29.41.
His domestic record carries forward his place among great people, with 7,169 runs at an impressive average of 48.68 first class. During his career, he saw 14 centuries and 44 fifties, showcasing his ability to knock significantly for his team.
Saha’s contribution expanded in the IPL, where he played for several franchises including Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans.
His most memorable IPL performance came in the 2014 finals, where he hit a century for Punjab Kings, known as Kings Xi Punjab. He was also part of the title winning campaign of Gujarat Titans in 2022.
Although Saha excluded the IPL 2025 auction, he first made his retirement plans clear in the Ranji Trophy season, stating that it would be his final season in professional cricket.
