Rory McIlroy says golf’s best players must compete more as PGA Tour and LIV Golf negotiations continue Trending Global News

Rory McLaroy believes that the world’s best players have to face each other at least once a month for golf to be ‘relevant’.

The men’s game remains in the process of covering a divided setup following the seismic effect of the arrival of live golf in 2022, which has ever barking regularity on which the world’s best players are seen competing.

Live golf players are still ineligible as a conversation with Saudi Arabia’s public investment funds by competing on the PGA Tour, who fund Liv, on Rumble.

As players wait for a resolution, Mcilroy has the best emphasis that the good of the game should be best found with more frequency.

“I would say it is more than four, and it is probably – my point is for golf where it is and relevant, it’s relevant – it’s as we are trying to go for it – worldwide, it’s a year -long calendar,” said McClayroy. “It’s not more to happen once a month.

“I think there will be a good number that I think 12 times a year or maybe more than a smash.”

PGA Tour Commissioner J Monhan said that a deal with Saudi’s PIF this week would not be accepted, it was to reduce the strength of the tour, pointing to the remaining obstacles in the negotiation on a proposed deal.

Monahan suggested that Donald Trump’s participation could assist the reunion’s target, meeting with President and PIF Governor Yasir Al-Rumayayan at the White House last month.

Accepting financial support in the United States, Mcilroy also underlined the importance of golf working as a global sport and called for more high profile tournaments to be staged elsewhere in the world.

“I think there is an opportunity for this worldwide,” he continued. “I think golf is not just played in America. It does not start in America. It is played in many other places in the world.

“The main source of capital for professional golf is in the US, so the reason for this is that the tournaments are mainly and large tournaments are mainly here because it brings into the game to fund some of the largest champions in the world due to corporate America and dollar.

“But I think there is an opportunity to have some big tournaments outside the US. I think we need big events in Australia. Australian Open was always a very big tournament in the day, and I think it could be one who may be elevated with some other people.”

PGA Tour Commissioner J Monahan discussed the ongoing conversation between him and Saudi Arabia, who binds live golfs to reunite men’s professional game

Mcilroy returns to TPC Sawgrass this week, demanding his second win after winning a stroke ahead of Jim Furrich in 2019.

Northern Irishman opened in 2025 with a win at the Pable Beach Pro -AM, before the origin invitation finished 17th and the last weekend in the last weekend, Arnold finished just one tied in the Palmer Invitational. Despite two disappointing finish, he remains optimistic that his game is a place he can contest.

He said, “It feels good. I would say that two finish post-cooks are almost the worst that they can be,” he said.

“I worsened in Bay Hill on Sunday. I was also damaged in Tore Pines on Sunday, as well. One thing I would say is that it was great from the turnaround in putting my insert from Tore to Bay Hill.

“I finished, I think, fifth to insert last week, so to see that the twist around was really encouraging. I should be really encouraged to go in this week, obviously, and then in the next few months.”

Paul McGinley shared why he thinks

There is no 2 in the world behind the Mcilroy Scotty Sheffer, which has sat in the ranking for 115 weeks and returns to the players as a back-to-back defending champion.

Chefler looks ineffective on a large scale, staring at his chasing packs, mastery in the art of reducing life on the course and closed life.

“This is one thing to reach the number 1 place in the world, and then stay there is another,” McLero said. “I think there is almost more commitment to live there. I think Scoty does so well.

“He is committed to his craft, and he is always working. He is always trying to be better, and we are all trying to be better to be with him.

“I don’t think Scoty care about fame at all. I have talked about separating two parts of myself and trying to be like a normal person, but also do what we do.

“Sometimes I struggle many times where I shoot a bad score and I think I am a bad person, and I shoot a good score and I think I am a good person. I think it is more difficult to separate the two sides.

“But as I said, I think Scotty actually does a good job.”
