Salaford confirmed that players and employees have not been paid on time for the second consecutive month at the crisis-win-bet Betfred Super League Club.
Getting out of patience with his new owners, Sallford said in a statement, “As many people already know, our payroll was not determined as determined this morning, despite assurance.”
Salaford is working under the salary cap sanctions for most of the season due to his financial plight, restricting the number of players that they can choose for their match squad.
Aligned with a growing injury list, Sallford’s head coach Paul Rowle said this week that the club is currently down to 15 players for the trip of champion Wigan’s reign on Sunday, including new loans signing George Hill.
Salford claimed his first league victory of the season by defeating Hudersfield veterans on 20 March, after losing their first four matches.
Star Players Mark Saned, Brad Singleton and Tim Lafai have left all clubs in recent weeks, but it has made little difference in Roule options as there are rumors on their financial crisis.
A new consortium led by Swiss banker Dario Barta, when he completed an acquisition in summer, secured the future of the club, but he has created a series of excuses for delayed payment.
The statement said: “This is a difficult situation for everyone in Salaford Red Devils.
“Despite this, we continue to continue our commitments with professionalism in the form of players and employees, ensuring that the club remains competitive on and out on the field.
“Now, we wait for the same level of commitment from those responsible for ensuring the stability of our organization.
“The unbreakable support of our fans and partners during this challenging time is both humble and inspiring, it makes all differences for players and employees.”
Salaford travels on Sunday (3pm KO) and Catalan Dragon on Friday 4 April (7 pm), while his next domestic game is against Leeds Rhino on Thursday 10 April.
Sky sports This season will re -show every game of the Super League – each round will include two matches especially in Live, with the remaining four matches shown through Sky Sports+ or Red button each week.
