According to Sambhal SP, a case has been registered against 21 accused in the case of assault and stone pelting in Sadar Kotwali and Nakhasa police stations in connection with this riot. On the other hand, Jama Masjid president accused SDM of creating unrest while holding a press conference. Alleged that the disturbance outside the mosque was caused by the CO and SDM. He held these two officers responsible for the current situation in the city. He said that during the survey, the SDM was adamant about drawing water for ablution in the mosque.
