Revealing a sensational case, the Dehat Kotwali police station of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh has arrested a man named Dr. Mubarak, who had planned the death of a man named Sonu by burning him alive. The police said that the accused hatched this conspiracy after watching more than 100 episodes of Crime Patrol. He had planned to pretend to be dead and grab the insurance and loan money.
According to SP City Abhimanyu Manglik, Dr Mubarak had a debt of around Rs 26 to 30 lakh, which included personal loans, insurance premiums and other dues. Worried about financial constraints, he faked his own death and got the insurance money for his family and all debts forgiven. For this he bought an old Maruti 800 car and started searching for the abandoned body. So that he can prove his identity.

But when he couldn’t find the body anywhere, he targeted his neighborhood sonu (friend) who was often drunk and came to him to ask for money. Then on the evening of December 22, Dr. Mubarak called Sonu to a dhaba and made him sit in the car with him on the pretext of giving him alcohol. Both of them first ate at the dhaba and then drank alcohol, during which Mubarak mixed narcotic pills in the alcohol, which made Sonu unconscious.
The car was set on fire by sprinkling petrol on a deserted place.
He then took her by car to a deserted place near the Yamuna canal. There he doused the car with petrol and set it on fire, in which Sonu was burnt alive. The day after the incident, the police found a burnt Maruti 800 car with a charred body near the Bajpura Canal. Police started investigation with the help of forensic team and CCTV footage. From the number plate of the car, it was found that Dr. Mubarak had bought this car a few months ago.
A conspiracy was hatched to grab the insurance and loan money.
SP City further said that on the other hand, Sonu’s family had also filed a complaint in the police station that the missing person could be Sonu. When the police arrested Dr. Mubarak, he confessed to his entire plan. He said that he had hatched this conspiracy to grab the insurance and loan money. The police have also recovered the petrol can used in the incident, plastic gloves and Sonu’s neck chain.
After registering the FIR, the accused was sent to jail.
In the CCTV footage, the two are seen going together and buying liquor. Dr. Mubarak did not involve his wife in this conspiracy. All his wife knew was that he would fabricate a false story of his death by arranging the abandoned body. The investigation of the case is still going on and the police have registered a case of murder and sent the accused to jail.
The accused said this while being questioned by the police.
When questioned by the police, the arrested accused said that I wanted to become rich in less time than I had planned. Under this plan, I was looking for a car and a dead body. I will burn the car with him and pretend to be dead. With this, my wife will get my death certificate and insurance money etc. and the personal loan of Rs.10 lakh taken from the bank will also be waived off.
