New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi's first speech as Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha has been praised by prominent Muslim organization Jamiat Ulema Hind. He expressed hope that other leaders of the opposition will fearlessly raise their voices in Parliament against violence, hatred and injustice. Jamiat president Maulana Arshad Madani on Wednesday said that his organization supports what Rahul Gandhi has said about violence and hatred as no religion in the world allows violence and hatred.
Madani said that religion conveys the message of humanity, tolerance, love and unity. Those who use it to spread hatred and violence cannot be true followers of their religion. He said that conscious people should condemn and oppose such people at every level.
Madani said that we are happy that Rahul Gandhi fearlessly raised his voice against violence and hatred in his first speech in Parliament as the Leader of the Opposition. It is hoped that following Rahul Gandhi, other opposition leaders will fearlessly raise their voice against violence, hatred and injustice in Parliament.
