Biles, 27, is back in the gym after winning three gold and a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The gymnast shared a photo of her “first day back” on her Instagram Story on Saturday, August 24. Along with announcing her return, Biles added an eye emoji to a photo of the World Champions Center in suburban Houston.
Biles has been back in Texas for about two weeks. On August 12, she shared on Instagram that she was “home” and enjoying the sunset in her backyard pool. Biles shared a photo from her bed and wrote that she had “never been so happy.”
Biles deserved every minute of her brief break. In Paris, she won gold in the individual all-around, balance beam, and vault. Biles explained what was going through her mind when she performed the Yurchenko double pike vault to secure the win.
“Right now I’m thinking, ‘Don’t fall, don’t fall,’” she said as she watched her final routine with NBC commentators. “When I got to my feet, all I was thinking was, ‘Oh, my God, I just did it!’ I was so excited. I really couldn’t believe the moment.”

However, it hasn’t been just hugs and scuffles since the Olympics ended. Jordan Chiles‘ The bronze medal in floor exercise has cast Biles in the role of a shoulder to cry on.
The Chileans’ third-place win was eventually overturned after a review and the bronze medal was officially awarded to the Romanian gymnast Ana BarbosuBiles publicly shared her support on Instagram earlier this month.
“Sending you so much love, Jordan,” Biles wrote via her Instagram Story on Aug. 10. “Keep your spirits up, Olympic champion! We love you!”
Biles’ coverage didn’t stop after the Paris Olympics concluded. She will return to the small screen in October, when the second part of her film comes out. The rise of Simone Biles The docuseries will premiere on Netflix. The first two episodes will feature Biles as she trains for an Olympic comeback after her sudden departure from the Tokyo 2020 Games, and the autumn episode will cover her victory in Paris.
