Ranchi: In the Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024, BJP faced a crushing defeat. BJP state national organization general secretary BL Santosh and state in-charge Lakshmi Kant Vajpayee reviewed the party’s crushing defeat in the elections. Meanwhile, the defeated candidates said that Mainian Saman Yojana, vote-digging towards JLKM and infighting spoiled the game. At the same time, political analysts believe that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has weakened in the tribal-dominated areas of Jharkhand.

Party candidates lost because of the grip!

On the first day of reviewing the disastrous defeat of the party in the elections, the candidates informed the leadership about the reasons for the defeat. On the second day, Sunday, state officials, district heads, in-charges and election management committee presented their views. BJP candidate Nirbhay Shahabadi, who lost the election from the Gardia seat, said he was a victim of fraud. Narayana Das, a candidate from Deoghar, said that I was robbed by my own people, where was the courage of foreigners. Some candidates also cited the support of MPs from their area as a major reason for their defeat, while some accused AJSU party workers of working for the JMM candidate. During the review meeting, the leaders also expressed their views on Mainyan Saman Yojana and the role of JLKM.

The Gogo Didi plan could not be implemented

During the meeting, the defeated candidates said that BJP’s Gogo Didi scheme cannot compete with India Alliance’s ‘Mian Saman Scheme’. The Hemant government had launched the Mainian scheme a month before the election defeat. Under this, 1000 rupees were paid into the accounts of poor women every month. To counter this, the BJP announced the Gogo Didi scheme, but it did not see any impact.

Despite fewer seats, BJP’s vote percentage increased.

During the review meeting, it was also said by the officials that the BJP’s vote percentage has increased in this election. Almost nine lakh votes increased. Now the party is also starting a membership drive from next week.

Union weak in tribal areas!

Political analysts believe that after the Lok Sabha elections, the tribals of Jharkhand did not support the BJP even in the assembly elections. BJP got only one seat out of 28 reserved for tribals. Former CM Champai Soren may win for his own reasons. No one expected such a result. All efforts to integrate the tribals with them went in vain.
