You must have heard the complaints of employees not getting leave from office, but when the boss refuses to give someone leave for his own wedding, and that too for just two days. Yes, it really happened and now people are slamming the ‘toxic’ boss on social media. You will be surprised to know that it was not the employee but the CEO of the company himself who made this public on social media.
The shocking case of a British marketing company, whose CEO, Lauren Tickner, caused a stir on social media by saying that she denied a female employee two days off, which she claimed to be her own. I asked for marriage. However, after the uproar, Lauren made several posts on the thread to justify her decision, claiming the employee had already taken two and a half weeks off and to hire someone else to replace her. Yes, she had failed the training. In such a case, if he were to be dismissed, two projects of the company would have been delayed.
The CEO says that there was only one reason for denying the leave and that was that no replacement was found for the female employee. Lauren said the team was already under pressure and due to time constraints, the employee was told in no uncertain terms that if he needed time off, to find and train a replacement as soon as possible. But it didn’t happen.

However, social media users seemed unsatisfied with Lauren’s argument. Many called him a toxic boss, saying who would want to work with people who don’t care about the interests of employees. At the same time, many questioned how any employee could take on the responsibility of training someone else. Also, some people quipped that if a project in your company can’t run for two days without an employee, then there is no bigger failure than that.
