Islamabad: For the convenience of the assembly members, special passport offices were established in the assemblies of the four provinces.
The passport office in the Punjab Assembly was inaugurated by Speaker Assembly Malik Ahmad Khan while the passport desk in the Sindh Assembly was inaugurated by the Speaker Sindh Assembly.
The passport office was inaugurated by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, DG Passport also participated in the inauguration ceremony of the passport desk in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
Balochistan Assembly has also approved the establishment of passport office.
Director General Passport Mustafa Jamal Qazi said that passport offices were established in the provincial assemblies for the convenience of the members, passports can be processed in a timely and easy way in the modern passport offices.
He said that the department is trying for the timely issuance of passports across the country, new modern printers have been ordered for the convenience of the citizens, which will solve the problem of delay in the issuance of passports forever.
