In a shocking incident at the Jaipur airport on Thursday, a female SpiceJet employee slapped a CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) man. After which he was arrested. According to the police, there was an argument between the two regarding the security check, while the airline has termed it as a serious case of sexual harassment. The video of this incident has also gone viral.
In the CCTV footage of the incident which has surfaced, CISF officers can be seen talking to the female member of the Spice Jet. She then suddenly takes two steps forward and slaps him across the face. Then a lady constable takes him aside.
Regarding the matter, the airline SpiceJet issued a statement claiming that inappropriate language was used with its employee and the CISF officer asked him to come and meet at his home after duty hours.
Informing about this, DCP Kavinder Singh said that based on the complaint of CISF personnel, the accused woman Anuradha Rani has been arrested and her statement is being taken. The woman has also filed a complaint. We are investigating the facts, after which appropriate action will be taken. The case is currently being investigated.
The police officer added that the incident took place at Jaipur airport around 4 am on Thursday when the assistant sub-inspector stopped the female staff from entering the airport through the gate of the vehicle without a security check. When stopped, an altercation broke out between the woman and the CISF personnel and the woman slapped the man. The official said that no female official was present at the airport in the morning, due to which a male official was deputed to investigate.
According to the complaint filed by the CISF in this case, when Rani was entering the airport through the vehicle gate at around 4 am along with other employees, she was not allowed to use that gate. was, due to which it was stopped. was given and asked for screening at the nearest entrance for the airline staff, but no CISF personnel were present at that time. At this point, the ASI called a female colleague for a security check, but by then the argument escalated and the SpiceJet employee slapped her.
However, SpiceJet maintains that Rani had a valid airport entry pass for the gate. “While guarding the catering vehicle at the steel gate, our lady security personnel, who was in possession of a valid airport entry pass issued by India's civil aviation security regulator Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), was accompanied by CISF personnel,” the airline said. Inappropriate and unacceptable language was used by him, asking him to come to her house after duty.'
