Hyderabad. The Congress fulfilled the election promise in Telangana. Telangana Chief Minister Revanith Reddy on Monday made a big announcement for the people of the OBC community. CM Reddy announced 42 % reservation for the OBC population in education, employment and political representation. Earlier, the OBC used to reservation 23 %.
Chief Minister Ratenth Reddy wrote in his post, Telangana is proud that he is leading the social revolution in India. It is an honor for me that we are meeting the longest demands of the backward classes after Indian independence. Our brothers and sisters who came from the backward class were demanding that they be identified in their counting and official census and today we are getting success on this important issue.
OBC population 56.36 %
Telangan Chief Minister said, “As the leader of the Telangana Legislative Assembly today and as the Chief Minister, I seriously declare it that based on the hard work and scientific survey of our people, we can say that the population of OBC in Telangana is 56.36 percent of this group.
