The government has launched a major operation against the Naxalites. After the order of Home Minister Amit Shah, action is being taken to eradicate Naxalites from the country.

Indian security forces killed 48 Naxalites in 21 days. This means on a daily basis security forces are killing more than 2 naxalites every day. Also, the government has asked to set up more than 88 camps in Naxalite areas this year to control the Naxalites.

According to the data of the Union Home Ministry, the operation against Naxalites is going on. The government intends to eradicate Naxalism completely. The government says that the Naxalites must either come into the mainstream or face the consequences. In the year 2023, 50 Naxalites were killed. In the year 2024, the operation against them was intensified due to which 290 Naxalites were killed in the encounter.

According to the data, 48 Naxalites have been killed so far till January 21, 2025. The government is constantly re-establishing security camps in Naxalite areas for their complete cleansing. As of 2019, 290 camps of paramilitary security forces were established in Naxalite areas. After that, in the year 2024, another 58 camps were set up in different areas. It has been asked to set up 88 camps in the year 2025.
