Now the latest case of illegal mining has come to light in Badsala village under Katlahar Assembly Constituency where the unbridled mining mafia has dug 15 to 20 feet pits with yellow claws not only on private land but also on government land. The devastation of the mining mafia in Badsala was not limited to the removal of mining materials but dozens of kheer trees were also sacrificed.

Surprisingly, neither the mining department nor the forest department is aware of this exploit of the mining mafia. Where this work has been done by the mining mafia, there is neither any kind of mining lease nor any permission to cut trees.

In fact, the mining mafia is becoming a major headache for the entire Una district system. However, for the past few years, the district administration and the police department, along with the mining department, have launched a special campaign against illegal mining and due to this, five mining leases have been canceled in the district recently, but despite this, the mining mafia The morale is very high.

In Barsala of Katlahar assembly constituency, the mining mafia has dug 15 to 20 feet deep pits while carrying out illegal mining on government and private land. At the same time, the mining mafia not only took sand and gravel from here, but also did not refrain from using axes on the green trees of Kheer. The mining mafia has done this work just 10 km away from the district headquarters but the mining and forest department is completely unaware of the matter.

District Mining Officer Neeraj Kant said that this matter has come to his notice. In this regard, action will be taken by investigating soon. On the other hand, District Forest Officer Sushil Rana said that there has been a report of cutting of kheer trees in Badsala. The employees of the department have been asked to prepare a detailed report in this regard. Further action will be taken based on the report.

Recently Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri also made a statement regarding mining in Una and ordered the administration to take action in this matter. Apart from this, the time of traffic of trucks was also fixed. Deputy CM Mukesh belongs to Una district.
