New Delhi: Last Thursday, criminal and Afghan gym owner Nader Shah was killed in Delhi’s Greater Kailash-1 area. Delhi Police arrested 5 of the shooters. Several revelations were made during his interrogation. Comedian Manoor Farooqui and YouTuber Elvish Yadav were staying at the five-star Hotel Surya to attend the Entertainers Cricket League 2024 at the IGI Indoor Stadium, where the shooter had also come to race, police said. In view of the security threat, there was a lot of chaos here on Sunday.
In view of the possible danger and on the advice of a police officer, Farooqui returned to Mumbai. At the same time, the police have started investigating the matter. Police are reviewing Farooqui’s security arrangements. The shooters said that we were ordered to race to Hotel Surya. We had to shoot someone, we were told that our target was staying at this hotel. Now the police are investigating who was their real target. Did Nader Shah frequent Hotel Surya or was his target Farooqui and Yadav who had come to participate in the Entertainers Cricket League 2024?
Meanwhile, police sources revealed that Alush Yadav had received a threat recently. The police is also busy investigating this aspect. A police officer said, “We were only instructed to increase security at the stadium, where a match between two teams, Haryanvi Hunters and Mumbai Disruptors, was scheduled to take place.” A hotel team led by DCP Pratiksha Godara investigated the premises. Apart from this, the identity of all the guests was also checked.
An employee of the hotel said on condition of anonymity that Farooqui was staying on the first floor. Police also searched his room and floor. Sources have revealed that the hotel’s security has been beefed up. Police personnel in plain clothes have been deployed in the hotel premises. In the meantime, Farooqui left for Mumbai after the explanation from the police. Farooqui declined to discuss security concerns.
