Lahore: Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi has clarified that there was no discussion with the former players about the captaincy of Babar Azam.
According to the details, Chairman PCB had a meeting with around 15 former players in Lahore, in which the players who were former captains also participated.
In an informal conversation after the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi said that in the meeting, domestic cricket was discussed and discussed regarding improvement, in which everyone gave the best advice.
He said that he emphasized on fitness with consistency in decisions among the players and advised not to make any concessions. Mohsin Naqvi made it clear that there has been no discussion on the captaincy of Babar Azam, while there has been no meeting with the coaches yet.
Sources say that in the meeting, some senior cricketers also expressed their concerns regarding the selection committee to the chairman PCB and said that the number of openers is high while good batsmen were not included in the middle orders and the captain's bar. The issue of bar change was also discussed.
Chairman PCB assured the players that future decisions will be taken in the light of their suggestions and hopefully the team will improve.
